Welcome to Afrostylists, an online marketplace dedicated to connecting customers with talented hairstylists specializing in Afrocentric hairstyles. By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use our website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Afrostylists, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of these terms, you must discontinue use of the site immediately.

2. Definitions

• “User” refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the website.
• “Service” refers to the online marketplace services provided by Afrostylists.
• “Stylist” refers to individuals offering hairstyling services through Afrostylists.
• “Customer” refers to Afro haircare providers, hair stylists and individuals purchasing hairstyling products and services through Afrostylists.

3. Eligibility

To use Afrostylists, you must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a guardian. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Account Registration

• Users must register for an account to use certain features of the service.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account.

5. Use of the Service
   1. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
   2. You must not use the service to:

• Post or transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any person or entity or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service.
• There will be a subscription fee of £15 every quarter, £5 a month for subscribers that prefer a monthly fee and a discounted yearly subscription of £55 for the use of the platform.

6. Booking and Payment

• Customers can book services from stylists through the marketplace.
• Payment for services will be processed through our secure payment system.
• You agree to provide accurate payment information and to update it as necessary.

7. Listing and Selling

• Sellers are responsible for listing their products accurately, including providing complete and accurate descriptions, prices, and any applicable shipping costs.
• Sellers must fulfill orders in a timely manner and in accordance with the listing and any applicable legal requirements.
• We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these Terms or our policies.

8. Buying and Payments

• Buyers are responsible for reviewing the full listing before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to pay the price listed, along with any applicable taxes and shipping fees.
• Payment processing services are provided by Stripe. By using these services, you agree to Stripe’s terms and conditions.

9. Shipping and Delivery

• Sellers are responsible for shipping items to buyers in a timely manner. Shipping times and costs should be clearly outlined in the product listing.
• Risk of loss and title for such items pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.

10. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation policies vary by stylist. Please review the stylist’s cancellation policy before booking.
• Refunds are subject to the stylist’s terms and conditions and our platform’s policies.

11. User Conduct

• You agree not to use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• You must not modify, adapt, or hack the service or modify another website to falsely imply that it is associated with Afrostylists.
• You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

12. Intellectual Property

• All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Afrostylists or its content suppliers and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
• You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from the website without prior written permission from Afrostylists.

13. Limitation of Liability

• Afrostylists will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
• Our liability in connection with any direct damages shall be limited to the amount you paid us in the six months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
